JEDDAH: Kanoo, Barracuda Arabia (ICC), Sigma Paints Osfan and Hijaz-XI entered the last four stage of the Premier Division Cricket League sponsored by the Initial Landscaping Company and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association.
Hijaz who are at the top of the table will clash with Kanoo who is in the fourth place while the other semifinal will be between Barracuda Arabia (ICC) and third-placed Sigma Paints Osfan, which will be played on Friday.
In the only match played last week, Pak Young beat Desert Warriors by 6 wickets but failed to qualify for the knockout stage, as they could not better their run rate.
At JCA-7 grounds Desert Warriors after winning the toss elected to bat first. They scored 133 for 8 wickets in the allotted 18 overs.
Rizwan (40), Rehan (24) were their top run getters.
Pak Young skipper Shakeel with his deceiving action and slow leg spinners had good a day as he took 4 for 11.
In reply Pak Young tried to finish the match within eight overs to improve their net run rate but were in for a shock as their openers Arshad Khan 5 and Mustafa Senior 2 failed with the bat.
The Young skipper, who had shown his form with the ball showed his class with the bat too, scoring an unbeaten 75 runs.
Pak Young reached the target by losing 4 wickets in 11.5 overs. Ahmed had two wickets while while Mirza and Rehan had one wicket each for the Desert Warriors team.
