JEDDAH: Saudia City routed Ghudaid-XI by 184 runs in the Division II cricket league, sponsored by the Al Harazi Contracting and Trading Establishment, organized the Jeddah Cricket Association.
In the other matches, Deccan Knights beat KAIA by 4 wickets while favorites Butt Sports continued their winning streak beating ALJ by 10 wickets.
Saudia City batting first rattled up a mammoth 240 for 2 in their allotted 17 overs.
Akram (72), Ishtiaq (71), Goshi (32), Mahboob (25) were their main scorers. In reply the Ghudaid-XI at 56 for 2 in 13 overs conceded the match.
At JCA-5 ALJ batting first were bowled out for 129 in their allotted 18 overs. Vijay top-scored with 42 runs while Bashir made 39 runs for the ALJ. Junaid Butt took 4 for 25, Zahid had 2 for 24 and Shoaib 2 for 29.
Zeeshan Butt and Imran Butt remained unbeaten with 79 and 41 runs respectively and were involved in a 130-run partnership for the opening wicket to score an easy win.
