Prisoners in Najran pardoned

NAJRAN: In line with a royal order issued on the return of Crown Prince Sultan, deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, 224 prisoners in various jails in Najran have been pardoned and released. The prisoners were sentenced for public rights and do not pose any danger to public security. Najran Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah issued the order pardoning the prisoners. “All prisoners who meet the conditions set for the pardon have been pardoned and released,” said Muwaffaq Al-Anazi, director of Prisoners’ Affairs in Najran.

2 expats die at construction site

JEDDAH: Two workers died when a huge machine used to pump concrete collapsed at a construction site on King’s Road near the Taj Square in Marjan district on Tuesday. One of the men was Indian and the other Egyptian, said Capt. Abdullah Al-Amir, spokesman of the Civil Defense in Makkah Province.

Murdered cop’s brother attacked

TAIF: The brother of policeman Fahd Al-Joaed who was shot and killed a few days ago in Truba has filed a police complaint that a group of unidentified men chased his car while he was bringing his brother’s dead body to Taif from Truba hospital on Monday. The brother also said the men rammed his car and that a man then attacked him with a stick.
