JUBAIL: The Global Toastmasters Club recently organized a Youth Leadership Program (YLP) for Grade 8 through 12 students in Jubail. Twenty-five children took part in the three-month program. Taher Moinuddin was the chief training coordinator. A valedictory function was arranged at the end of the training program at SAFCO beach camp here to recognize the participants. Suresh Thanneru opened the meeting and Global Toastmasters Club President Safare Muhammed welcomed the gathering. Prominent businessman Abdulrazak Al-Turki was the chief guest and Rachana Kakadia was the master of ceremonies. Talha Sajjad led the prepared speech and Ayesha Halim led table topics contest sessions and Jacob Kuriakose served as the chief judge.
Vishal Singh won the prepared speech category and Faroozan Ambreen won the table topics contest. Al-Turki awarded trophies and certificates to the participants and contest winners.
Jacob Kuriakose, R.J. George, P.G.R. Nair, Suresh Kumar, Seju Davis, Jagadeesan Kumar, Ramakant Bhala, M.K. Jayakrishnan, Javed Ansari and Sameena Mazhar were presented with mementos honoring their services as trainers, mentors and coordinators. Division Governor Waheed Lateef presented YLP Coordinator Taher Moinuddin with commemorative plaque honoring his services to Youth Leadership Program. Aziz Siddiqui expressed the vote of thanks.
