JEDDAH: Jeddah police have arrested an Egyptian butcher working near a fruit market in Jeddah on suspicion of killing two other compatriots.
The killer engaged in a fistfight with the victims before using a butcher knife to kill them.
According to the spokesman of Jeddah police, Col. Misfer Al-Juaid, the murder happened in Al-Safa district near the fruit market.
The killer stabbed one of the victims inside an apartment where the fight started, killing him instantly.
The other victim managed to escape, but the murderer chased him and knifed him to death in the middle of the street.
Police and forensics teams arrived at the crime scene to gather evidence and examine the bodies.
The victims were taken to a nearby hospital morgue while the suspect was arrested and taken to the police station for further investigations.
The case will soon be transferred to the general prosecution and investigation board.
