JAZAN: Two women teachers have died and four others injured when their car overturned in Jazan early Tuesday.
The teachers were on their way to their schools when the vehicle skidded and overturned on the Humairah road near the Jazan Valley dam.
The Bangladeshi driver was also injured, police said.
According to the Department of Girls’ Education, English teacher Amal Ali Babair and Arabic teacher Raja Omar Tabba were killed instantly. Both teach at Al-Ali intermediate school for girls.
According to the police, the other four injured women teachers were rushed to Al-Ariesh general hospital. One of them is in intensive care. It is said Director of Education Abdul Aziz Al-Mahdawi has been monitoring the condition of the injured teachers and is near the hospital.
Traffic police are investigating the causes of the accident.
