MUMBAI: The Shiv Sena has threatened Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and party chief Bal Thackeray has warned renowned industrialist Mukesh Ambani to “mind his business and not speak about Mumbai or the Marathi people.”
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Sena member of Parliament and Saamna editor Sanjay Raut said that if Khan had the courage he should go ahead and hire Pakistani and Australian cricketers for the popular Indian Premier League (IPL). “Let him do so, and we shall show him what we would do then,” Raut said.
Khan, the owner of the Kolkata Night Riders team, is reported to have said that if the IPL relaxed the ban, he would hire Pakistani cricketers for his team.
In an editorial in Saamna, party chief Bal Thackeray lashed out at Ambani for his recent statement in London that Mumbai belongs to all, just as Delhi, Chennai also belongs to all Indians and that it was not fair to target the immigrant cab drivers and enforce Marathi on them.
