QUNFUDA: Police in Hali, near Qunfuda in the south of Saudi Arabia, arrested a Saudi man and his wife on charges of stealing SR23,000 worth of gold from a jewelry shop, a local daily reported on Saturday.
According to police, the 40-year-old man and his wife allegedly stole the gold during Ramadan. The man reportedly snuck the gold out when the shop was crowded.
Police arrested the man on Thursday night when he attempted to steal the gold from another shop. The man reportedly confessed to this and two other crimes.
