- PUNE: Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde on Wednesday demanded that the Pune blast case be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) because of the failure of Maharashtra police to make any tangible progress during the past one month.
Munde said the police could not even identify the terror outfit involved in the German Bakery blast. The BJP leader also criticized Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials for failing to make any breakthrough in the Pune blast case. Speaking about the Women's Reservation Bill, Munde said the BJP would support the bill in the Lok Sabha (lower house) as it had done earlier in the Rajya Sabha (upper house).
