A security source told Arab News that the Saudi, who was unemployed, was arrested less than 24 hours after the alleged murder. The source said the Asian worker had given the man a number of tissue boxes but the man insisted that he should get one more.

Petrol stations in Jeddah often give customers tissue boxes and water bottles as gifts.

“When the worker refused, the youth got out of his car and attacked the worker with an iron rod. Red Crescent workers took the employee to hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival,” the source said.

Criminal investigation officers arrived at the crime scene immediately and took fingerprints of the suspect from the worker’s body. The killer was arrested in a south Jeddah residential district.

Initial investigations revealed that the man had no previous relation with the slain worker.
