According to Maj. Ahmad Al-Harbi, spokesman for Jeddah’s Emergency Response Office, payments would be cleared initially for 325 people whose losses have been audited by a committee that had been formed after the disaster. Over the next two months all eligible claimants are reportedly going to receive compensation.
