- NEW DELHI: An Emirates plane hit an air pocket and dropped suddenly over India, and 12 passengers were hurt.
The Press Trust of India news agency reported the plane landed safely at its destination, the southern Indian city of Kochi. The report said one of the injured passengers was hospitalized.
Airline officials were not immediately available for comment.
The flight from Dubai carried 375 passengers and crew.
The report said the aircraft hit the air pocket at about 25,000 feet (7,620 meters).
