The suspension became effective on Tuesday, according to Abdullah Al-Azhar, assistant director general of Saudia .

"We have to suspend the flights because of the emergency situation  created by the strike in Bangladesh." he said and regretted the inconvenience caused to the traveling public. The national carrier is making all efforts to enable the passengers reschedule their bookings and travel plans.
