Yahya Al-Yahya, secretary-general of the International Commission for Introducing Islam, said participants will attend workshops and deliver and discuss papers on propagating Islam.

The workshops will address the role Muslims can play in guiding people to Islam, he said. He added that the event will also help build relations between different bodies involved in introducing Islam to non-Muslims and will be an opportunity for participants to exchange experience and participate in joint projects and programs.

Al-Yahya said the event’s inauguration will include the unraveling of the commission’s new interactive website and a new video entitled “I am a Muslim.” The commission will also use the event as an opportunity to unveil a competition entitled “This is Islam” and a new international award called “Introducing Islam.”

The event will be attended by Abdullah Al-Turki, secretary-general of the Muslim World League, and Saleh Al-Husain, president of the General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques.

The International Commission for Introducing Islam is an arm of the Muslim World League that is concerned with propagating Islam across the world. The organization also aims to promote a correct image of Islam in foreign languages and has its headquarters in Madinah.
