- JEDDAH: National Geographic Channel Abu Dhabi will celebrate the achievements of Prince Sultan bin Salman as the first Arab Muslim and the first member of royalty to travel into space by screening an exclusive interview with him alongside the airing of three episodes of the new series "Known Universe."
Excerpts from Prince Sultan’s interview will also be aired throughout National Geographic Space Month, reaching almost 50 million households in the Middle East and North Africa region through the Arabic, free-to-air documentary channel. During the interview, viewers can hear about the preparation, planning and training that the prince undertook as well as his experiences in outer space.
Prince Sultan, who currently heads the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, will also talk about his career and how he came to be interested in astronomy.
The prince will also share an inspirational message to the people of the region, especially young people that are interested in a career in science.
