Texas starter C.J Wilson (3-3) walked Justin Morneau to lead off the seventh, gave up a double to Michael Cuddyer and then walked Jason Kubel to exit with the bases loaded and nobody out.

It's a situation that has paralyzed the Twins this season.

They came into the game with 66 at-bats with the bases loaded, the most in the major leagues, but managed only 11 hits.

Delmon Young changed that, hitting a two-run double and J.J. Hardy followed with a two-run single.

Minnesota starter Carl Pavano (5-5) allowed two runs in seven innings to take the win.

In St. Petersburg, struggling slugger Carlos Pena drove in three runs to help Tampa Bay defeat Chicago.

Pena hit a three-run double during a four-run fourth inning off John Danks (4-4) to put Tampa Bay up 6-2. The other run scored on Gabe Kapler's bunt.

Pena has just 12 hits in 94 at-bats during May. The first baseman was 1 for 5, including two strikeouts, on Saturday.

Rays starter Wade Davis scattered six hits while pitching into the seventh inning.

Carlos Quentin and Alexei Ramirez homered for the White Sox, who have lost 12 of the past 13 when coming off a win.

In Detroit, Brett Anderson was sharp in his first start in a month, steering Oakland to a shutout win over Detroit.

Anderson (2-1), back from elbow and forearm injuries, didn't walk a batter in 5 2-3 innings.

Mark Ellis drove in four runs for the A's.

Detroit starter Rick Porcello (4-5) allowed seven hits in 6 1-3 innings.

In Boston, Clay Buchholz keeps looking like Boston's new ace, throwing seven shutout innings to lead Boston over Kansas City.

Buchholz (7-3) oudueled Royals ace Zack Greinke and posted his sixth win in seven starts. He has a 1.32 ERA in his past three outings.

The loss snapped the Royals' three-game winning streak.

Mike Lowell drove in Boston's lone run with an RBI grounder.

In New York, Cleveland pitcher David Huff was hit in the head by a line drive before the Indians fought back from a big deficit to beat New York.

Alex Rodriguez's line drive cannoned off Huff's head into right field for an RBI double.

Huff was down on the mound for 6 minutes, carted off the field and taken to hospital, where he was cleared of serious damage. He returned to the clubhouse three hours later to celebrate an unlikely victory.

Down 10-4 in the sixth inning to C.C. Sabathia, the Indians came back to win. Lou Marson hit three doubles and Russell Branyan homered.

In Toronto, Lyle Overbay hit two of Toronto's four home runs in the win over Baltimore.

Vernon Wells connected for a go-ahead shot in the eighth inning off Jason Berken (0-1). His 13th homer of the season was a long fly that hit the facing of the third deck in left field.

One out later, Alex Gonzalez singled and Alberto Castillo replaced Berken, surrendering Overbay's homer on his first pitch.

Overbay also hit a solo drive in the second.

In Anaheim, Kendry Morales fractured his lower left leg while celebrating his game-ending grand slam in the 10th inning which lifted Los Angeles over Seattle.

Morales is scheduled to undergo surgery Sunday. He was leading the club in batting average (.290), home runs (11), total bases (94) and RBIs (39).

Morales connected with one out and circled the bases to a waiting celebration. He leaped toward home plate and landed awkwardly.
