Mikhalkov, Russia’s most celebrated film director, is to receive the Crystal Globe award for his outstanding contribution to world cinema while Law will get the festival’s President award for his fundamental contribution to the global development of film. A jury led by US producer Ron Yerxa will pick the winner out of the 12 movies in the main competition for the top prize, the Crystal Globe. The entries include “Hitler in Hollywood,” by Belgian director Frederic Sojcher, and “Kooky,” by Czech director Jan Sverak. The festival features 180 films and runs from Friday through July 10.
