- JEDDAH: Officers from Riyadh police’s special assignments unit were able to arrest an expatriate on charges of forfeiting and circulating fake US dollars and practicing sorcery, police announced on Monday.
The police did not identify the suspect but said he is an Arab expatriate in his 30s.
Officers acted on a tip-off about his suspicious activities and were able to catch him red-handed.
The police said the suspect was ambushed after a number of customers were monitored entering and leaving his place. They added an undercover police officer offered to buy $80,000 for SR150,000 from him.
“While showing the fake customer a counterfeited $100 bill, the forger was caught,” a police spokesman said, adding that materials for black magic were also found in his place.
