- PARIS: French Labor Minister Eric Woerth denied on Tuesday a media report that he accepted cash donations from France's richest heiress to finance the presidential campaign of Nicolas Sarkozy in 2007.
"All of this is false," a spokeswoman for Woerth told Reuters.
President Sarkozy's office denied earlier on Tuesday that he received cash donations in person from Liliane Bettencourt, who owns a 30 percent stake in cosmetics giant L'Orea.
