Mohammed Hammad Chaudhry, 24, was the son of Dr. Nisar Ahmed Chaudhry, who is a well-known political and international relations analyst in the DC-area.  He is also president of the Pakistan American League (PAL) and ex-President of the Pakistani American Congress (PAC).

His son died on Sunday, July 4, at a hospital in Maryland, after his motorcycle was hit earlier that afternoon by a Chevrolet Avalanche at a stop light in Maryland.

Chaudhry was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

Members of the Pakistani-American community and Muslim community gathered to mourn the loss with the family over the loss of their son.

Islamic funeral prayers (namaz-e-janaza) were held for Muhammad on Monday at the Masjid Al-Rahmah of the Islamic Society of Baltimore, Maryland.

The family said the crash is under police investigation. The driver of the 2002 Chevrolet Avalanch, 45-year-old Marganta Gonzalez Cruz, was uninjured.
