A Saudi man divorced his wife in the eastern city of Al-Ahsa when she asked him to buy a new dress she wanted to wear during the wedding of her brother. The man became angry when the woman, whom he married 25 years ago, insisted that she wanted a new dress and that she would not wear the same dress she had worn during a previous marriage.

“I am getting a monthly salary of SR3,000 and I have eight children. I cannot purchase a new dress for her to attend every wedding party,” the man said. But the woman kept on to her demand, resulting in divorce.
