He said the universities of Shaqra, Majmaa, Al-Kharj and Dammam have agreed to allocate 200 seats each while Prince Sultan University and Prince Muhammad bin Fahd University 10 seats each for such students.

Al-Saleh, who is supervisor of educational programs at Prince Fahd bin Salman Charitable Society for the Care of Kidney Patients, urged all deserving students to make use of these offers by contacting universities. He thanked Riyadh Gov. Prince Salman, chairman of the charity, and Prince Abdul Aziz bin Salman, its general supervisor, for their efforts in support of kidney patients and their children.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Abdul Rahman Al-Asimi, president of Al-Kharj University, reiterated his university’s desire to cooperate with the charitable society for supporting the children and close relatives of kidney patients.

Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari announced recently that 24 public universities in the Kingdom would receive 278,000 secondary school graduates in the new academic year (2010-2011).
