The festival was held at Obhur, north of Jeddah, under the auspices of the Presidency of Youth Welfare.

“The supervising committee decided to cancel the competition because of unstable weather conditions in order to protect the safety of contestants,” said Hassan Anbar, supervisor of the program.

Iyad Samman, supervisor of marine events, said a large number of families witnessed the programs.

“We had set up a number of air-conditioned tents to help families follow up the events,” he said.

He expressed his happiness over the participation of some 500 volunteers along with other private and public organizations such as Deaf & Dumb Club and Saudi Scouts Society to clean Jeddah sea coast as part of Jeddah Ghair festival.
