Abdul Kareem Al-Hunaini, undersecretary at Asir governorate and supervisor of the month-long festival, launched the helicopter tour on Saturday, saying the program would enable tourists to get an aerial view of the region's sceneries.

Accompanied by Asir police director Maj. Gen. Obaid Al-Khamash, Al-Hunaini boarded a helicopter and flew over major resorts and landmarks in Asir.

Abdullah Mataen, secretary-general of the festival, said about 80 helicopter trips would be arranged during the event. Each trip will take 15 minutes and accommodate four people, he said.
