“The Saudi leadership headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has spared no effort in extending support for a better and more meaningful life for the disabled,” he said.

He made the statement on the occasion of signing a contract for the establishment of a new center for disabled children in Asir province.

Prince Faisal also noted the efforts of Prince Sultan bin Salman, chairman of the board of directors of the Society for Disabled Children and secretary-general of the Supreme Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, in support of the disabled and disability research.

He urged philanthropists to extend the required support to the association, noting that the new center will use sophisticated medical equipment and developed educational facilities to train disabled children.

Prince Sultan bin Salman, also the co-founder and board chairman of the Riyadh-based Prince Salman Center for Disability Research (PSCDR), thanked Prince Faisal for “extending great support to the center,” adding that it is in addition to other centers such as the one established in Taif in March.
