It acted in response to statistics made available by the charity organization Welfare Storage, one of the many philanthropic groups in the city that extend assistance to the needy citizens and residents.

The governorate will launch a campaign to assess the conditions of these families so it can provide them with much-needed assistance. The campaign will start in September and continue for 15 days.

A number of public and private establishments will participate in the campaign, including departments of education, health affairs departments, the Presidency of Youth Welfare, social affairs, the police and others.

Statistics about the poor families have been compiled by four social research centers established by Welfare Storage in Jeddah, which are staffed by highly qualified personnel.

They have collected data on the financial, educational, health, and social circumstances of these poor families.
