- JEDDAH: A Saudi family said it would file a criminal complaint of harassment against a man they say has been flooding their 19 mobile phones with obscene text messages, a lawyer for the family said on Sunday.
The lawyer, who did not want his name published, said his clients (also unnamed) have received 280 such messages from a man who was betrothed to a woman in the family but pulled out at a later stage.
The parents say their daughter is now pregnant and suffering psychological duress due to the harassment.
The father claims the man is responsible for getting him fired from his job. "His messages were always full of such threats," he said. "He might be the reason why I lost my job."
