The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) have presented applications to the Saleh Al-Sagri, Saudi cultural attache in Beijing, in this regard. There are 80,000 students at SYSU and 30,000 at UIBE, including Saudis.

Al-Sagri said more than 30 Chinese universities had expressed their desire to enroll Saudi students.

“Chinese universities have so far signed 35 agreements with their Saudi counterparts to exchange expertise,” he added.
