GACA spokesman Khalid Al-Khaibari said that the improvements have been made to make it easier for travelers and visitors to park their cars. He added that the parking lots were able to accommodate only 2,962 cars in the past.The new lots have also improved security measures and specific areas for buses and taxis.Cars parked in the open sun will be charged SR2 an hour and those parked in the shade will be charged SR3. The parking lots also allow people to park their cars for 10 minutes free of charge to pick and drop passengers.Over 17 million passengers go through KAIA every year. The airport is now witnessing advancements in infrastructure and developments that will improve travel experience for pilgrims, tourists and businessmen.
