The contest celebrates the contributions of talented young individuals working in interactive entertainment, media and digital sector to the success of their industry.

Contestants could be working as interactive leisure software publishers, developers or marketing specialists; interactive entertainment developers for the Internet, digital television, radio or mobile phones; digital and interactive multimedia and Web design; interactive marketing or multimedia and interactive event production along with experimental media, and consultants providing specialist services in this area.

Fourteen finalists from around the world will win the opportunity to visit the UK in October 2010 to undertake a common program where they will take part in valuable networking to learn from creative leaders and meet potential future business contacts. During the weeklong visit this year’s International Young Interactive Entrepreneur will be announced at an awards ceremony.

The International Young Interactive Entrepreneurs Award is one of nine British Council International Young Creative Entrepreneur (IYCE) awards. The awards champion and celebrate the importance of creative entrepreneurs and showcase international business innovation in the creative industries.

The British Council is now accepting applications from 25- to 35-year-old Saudi nationals who have worked in a creative business in the interactive sector for at least three years, and who can demonstrate success and show their potential as future leaders of the interactive industry.
