- JEDDAH: All buses carrying pilgrims to Makkah or Madinah are being tracked from a central office with the completion of the electronic linking of the office with all entry points to the two holy cities.
The system is working in coordination with Tawafa organizations. “All branches of the supervising office has been linked electronically with the head office using a DSL network and local servers,” Faisal Abdul Rahman Osra, director general of the office, said on Saturday.
“Information about buses carrying pilgrims are passed to related departments until they reach the residences of pilgrims in Makkah or Madinah as the case may be.”
