- MAKKAH: Prince Naif, second deputy premier, minister of interior and head of Supreme Hajj Committee, arrived in Makkah last night to oversee pilgrim convenience and accommodation, and to meet with heads of Haj missions and Armed Forces personnel on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah has appointed Prince Naif to oversee the Haj pilgrimage, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Prince Naif's designation came a day after doctors asked the king to rest due to a disc problem.
