- MAKKAH: Arafat Day usage on Mobily's networks in the Makkah area jumped by 46 percent as compared to last year's usage figures, according to an official statement issued by the company on Monday.
"The performance of our networks, whether that be 2G, 3G exceeds international benchmarks," said Mobily Vice President for Corporate Communications and Public Relations Humoud Al-Ghobaini.
Meanwhile, Mobily's free public WiFi also witnessed increased usage, mostly from public officials and workers tasked with serving pilgrims.
Mobily is the official partner with Makkah province. Mobily distributed hundreds of thousands of umbrellas and provides free public WiFi during the Haj.
