Dominique Strauss-Kahn says dynamic areas of the world such as Brazil, India and China are bolting ahead as Europe risks being left even further behind.

Speaking Friday at a banking conference in Frankfurt, Germany, he said Europe must adopt a comprehensive growth strategy where every country benefits from the efforts of the others.

Strauss-Kahn said that while budget deficits must shrink in some European countries that he did not name, in other nations, particularly Germany, growth will need to become more domestically driven.
