Vince Carter had 17 points for the Suns, who were dominant inside against Boston's front line to build an 18-point lead in the first half and never let up, snapping a three-game losing streak.

Boston, the NBA's top-shooting team, never found a rhythm offensively, shooting 34 percent and making just two of its 18 3-point attempts. Kevin Garnett had 18 points and nine rebounds, but was ejected in the fourth quarter after a below-the-belt shot on Channing Frye.

In Atlanta, the hosts resisted New York's late comeback.

Joe Johnson scored 34 points for Atlanta, who had forward Marvin Williams back for his first start since Dec. 29, giving the Hawks their original starting five for the first time in almost a month, but he may soon face an NBA suspension.

LeBron James led all scorers with 39 points, finishing with nine assists and eight rebounds for the Heat, who played without Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and trailed by 10 late in the third quarter.

In Oklahoma City, Washington came close to finally winning its first road game of the season, but was denied in overtime by Oklahoma City.

Kevin Durant scored 10 of his 40 points in the second overtime, converting a three-point play, hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer from the right wing and then adding a jumper from the top of the key as the Thunder finally took the lead for good.

Russell Westbrook added his third triple-double of the season for Oklahoma City.

Washington fell to 0-22 on the road. Nick Young scored 32 points but missed a potential game-winner at the end of the first overtime.

In Philadelphia, Rudy Gay scored 16 points and put Memphis ahead for good with a 6-footer in traffic, helping Memphis rally from a 21-point deficit and beat Philadelphia.

The Grizzlies trailed by 21 in the third quarter and were down 16 entering the fourth. Gay helped the Grizzlies take over. He threw down a thunderous dunk and then hit the contested jumper to make it 87-85.

Zach Randolph had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

Jodie Meeks and Jrue Holiday each scored 16 points for the Sixers.

In Oakland, Stephen Jackson scored 31 points, including a tying 3-pointer in the final second of regulation, as Charlotte rallied for an overtime victory against Golden State.

The former Warriors standout was booed throughout, none louder than after his 28-footer with 0.6 seconds left in the fourth quarter banked in. He added seven rebounds, four assists and some big baskets in overtime to help the Bobcats to their third straight win.

Stephen Curry had 27 points for a Warriors team that blew a 16-point lead and has lost four straight games.

In Salt Lake City, Utah won its first game in seven by defeating Minnesota.

Paul Millsap scored 30 points and Earl Watson had a season-high 13 assists for the Jazz in place of Deron Williams, who missed his first game of the season with a wrist injury.

The Timberwolves ave lost six straight despite Kevin Love's 32nd consecutive double-double. He had 22 points and 15 rebounds.

In Cleveland, the hosts fell to a record-tying 19th straight loss, beaten by Denver.

The Cavaliers are now just five losses away from breaking the NBA record of 23 consecutive defeats in one season, an inglorious mark shared by the expansion Vancouver Grizzlies (1995-96) and Nuggets (1997-98).

In Toronto, Corey Maggette hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer in the final minute of overtime and Milwaukee went on to hand Toronto its 10th straight loss.

Maggette had 29 points and 11 rebounds, and Andrew Bogut scored six of his 24 points in overtime for the Bucks.

Amir Johnson scored a season-high 24 points and added 12 rebounds for Toronto, which matched its longest losing streak since a 10-game slide in 2005-06.
