- JEDDAH: The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) resumed activities Tuesday after last week's floods shut down all JCCI services, JCCI Secretary-General Adnan bin Hussain Mandoura announced Wednesday.
- All services except document certification and subscriptions returned to normal.
“We have to resume activities very quickly in the interests of our customers and subscribers, enabling them to complete their paperwork speedily and smoothly,” he said.
Mandoura expects the certification of documents and subscription services to be back to normal sometime next week following necessary repairs to the system.
The JCCI processes more than three million documents every year, mostly pertaining to foreign manpower.
Mandoura said most of the JCCI employees had to spend the night at the chamber because the level of water outside the offices rose above 1.5 meters at the height of last week's flooding.
