- MADINAH: A dog that bit a young girl in Madinah was ordered by a judge in the holy city's summary court to leave the area.
- The court also fined the dog's owner SR1,500 as compensation, local daily Al-Watan reported Friday.
The girl's father reportedly filed a lawsuit against the dog's owner at the summary court asking for compensation and for the dog to be taken out of the area. Neither the name of the father nor of his daughter was published.
The owner denied that his dog was responsible for the incident, although medical reports proved otherwise. The judge reportedly based his verdict on an Islamic ruling that harm must be dealt with immediately.
