- RIYADH: The Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) said on Sunday it had extended its offer to buy Kuwait-based Zain's stake in Zain KSA to Feb 13.
The company, chaired by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, made a non-binding offer on Jan. 31 for Zain's 25-percent stake in Zain KSA. The offer was set to expire on Sunday.
The Kuwaiti telecom company must sell its Zain KSA stake to clear the way for the UAE's Etisalat to complete its $12 billion bid for a controlling 46-percent stake in Zain.
The KHC said in a statement its offer would be extended by a week, based on the desire of the board of directors of Zain Kuwait.
