Director Cyril Tuschi says Friday’s burglary into his Berlin office was the second theft of his film material within a few weeks in an apparent bid to intimidate him. Berlin police spokesman Martin Otter confirmed Monday that a burglary had taken place in the filmmaker’s premises overnight Friday. He declined to elaborate.

Tuschi says in a statement he had already sent an earlier version last week to the organizers of the festival, which starts Thursday. Tuschi could not immediately be reached for comment.
