The girl has been handed over to her father after it emerged her mother was behind her disappearance.

The mother, who was divorced from the father, took the girl from a wedding hall in Halifa, 200 km south of Hail, where a relative was getting married.

Her father informed police soon after she went missing.

The father had accused the girl’s mother for being involved in her disappearance, as the two were not on good terms following their divorce. The girl was living with her relatives in the village of Samira.

Police questioned the girl’s mother in Samira and she admitted that she was behind her daughter’s disappearance. The father thanked police for their efforts to find the girl.

The mother had not seen her daughter for more than three months and had taken the girl from the wedding hall to her house without informing the father’s relatives.
