- CAIRO: Cultural attaché of Saudi Embassy in Cairo Muhammad Al-Aqeel said Saudi students in Egypt who returned home following disturbances in that country should not travel back to their universities until they are notified by his office.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency on Thursday, Al-Aqeel said the date for the students’ return has been postponed in order to guarantee the safety of all Saudi students in Egypt. He added that the Egypt’s minister of higher education has extended the middle of the year vacation for one more week and the second term will commence on Feb. 19.
He said the attache’s office would notify all Saudi students and interns the time when they should return to their classes.
