“Saudi Medicare 2011 will provide a venue for stakeholders to interact with regional and international organizations and identify the best tools and techniques to further show Saudi Arabia's health care and medical sectors,” said Muhammad Al-Hussain, deputy general manager of Riyadh Exhibitions Company.

On the same occasion, the General Directorate and Analytics Exhibition will also be held. Al-Hussain said Saudi Medicare 2011 is in consonance with the commitment of the Kingdom to maintain its status as one of the region's top health-oriented countries.

This is shown by its  allocation of SR68.7 billion for health care service and social development for 2011, up 12 percent from last year. The budget will cover the construction and equipping of primary health care centers, the building of 12 new hospitals, and the infrastructural development of four existing hospitals.”

“The Kingdom will need to partner with the best vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure a robust health care framework to attain its health care objectives,” he said.

He added that the organizers are confident that this year will sustain the momentum of the 2010 edition and again witness record figures. Last year, the show attracted 138 exhibitors and 6,735 visitors to the 8,000-square-meter exhibition venue to reaffirm its status as the Kingdom's premier health care and medical event.
