- LOS ANGELES: Angelina Jolie has no plans to adopt a child from earthquake-hit Haiti, despite persistent reports in British newspapers that she is about to add another child to her brood of six, a spokesman for the actress said on Friday.
Adam Waldman, an adviser to Jolie in her philanthropic efforts, told US news website The Daily Beast that the Oscar-winning actress was in Haiti working on a project to improve child welfare and safety. Jolie has never even met the four-year-old Haitian orphan called Leah, who British and other newspapers claim she is in the process of adopting, Waldman told The Daily Beast.
"Earlier this week, the Daily Mirror UK and others reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in the process of adopting a child from Haiti," Waldman said. "There is no truth to these rumors.
