- SEOUL: South Korea’s SK Engineering & Construction said it had signed deals worth $1.9 billion with Saudi Aramco for the company’s project to build the kingdom’s largest gas plant Wasit.
In late January, Saudi Aramco awarded deals to two South Korean firms, SK E&C and Samsung Engineering, but did not give a value for the deals.
Later, industry sources said the three contracts SK E&C won were worth around $1.9 billion won.
SK added in a statement that the construction period would be within 38 months, ending in 2014.
