Hilal advanced after defeating Al-Ahli on penalty kicks at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on Wednesday. The regulation period ended 2-2.

Hilal took the lead in the 19th minute on a goal by Ahmad Ali and doubled its spread when Ahmad Al-Fareedi scored in the 43rd minute.

Ahli pulled one back in the 50th minute courtesy of Malek Muaz. Three minutes later, Ahli leveled the game on Victor’s goal.

Hilal won the ensuing penalty shootout at 4-3 after the extra time still produced no result.

Nasr reached the semifinal with a 2-1 victory over Al-Riyadh in Riyadh. Nasr’s goals came in the 7th minute from Abdul Rahman Al-Qahtani and in the 57th minute from Saud Homoud. Hussein Muaz scored the only goal for Riyadh in the 86th minute.

Wehda of Makkah will host Al-Ittifaq in Makkah in the second match of the semifinal. Wehda went through to the last four by beating Al-Raid in a penalty shootout 4-2, while Ittifaq progressed to the next round when it downed Jeddah-based Al-Ittihad 3-1 in Dammam.

Yousuf Al-Salem opened the account for Ittifaq in the 19th minute before Ittihad’s Saleh Al-Saqri leveled the game in the 56th minute, ending the game 1-1. In the first 15-minute extra time, Ittifaq took the lead with a strike from Sebastian Tegali in the 93rd minute. Ahmad Al-Mubarak sealed the match for Ittifaq by scoring his team’s  third goal in the 111th minute.
