- JEDDAH: A total of 250 young men and women are undergoing a five-week marriage-training program at Al-Mawada Center for Family Reconciliation and Guidance.
This is the first group of young couples to take this training course, the center said. Zuhair Nasir, secretary general of the center, said the program aims to introduce young couples to skills for happy marriages. This includes teaching couples how to get to know each other and communicate with each other and their families. Couples will also be given medical advice.
The course also offers an SMS service and participants will be given awareness material in the form of cassettes. Al-Mawada Center works under the supervision of the Association for Easing Youth Marriage in Jeddah. The center aims to protect families and reduce the percentage of divorces by working with courts and security departments.
