The SCTA recorded 87 violations by tour organizers, three by timeshare groups and 212 by travel agents. A report by the SCTA pointed out that licenses and investment incentives were granted to 310 hotels and 782 travel agents by the end of 2010.

The report also showed that the number of tours organizers last year increased by 61 to 158, while travel agents increased by 190 to 782. The commission also licensed an additional 19 tour guides last year, bringing their total to 132, while 11 licenses for timeshares were offered for 2010.
