The husband reportedly asked his wife not to change the channel or he would break her arm, but she did not listen. The husband got mad, grabbed the remote control and switched back to his channel but the wife changed it again. At this point the husband broke her arm, although it is unclear how he did it.

The wife raised a complaint against him at the FTC, which has started looking into the case. Chairman of the FTC Ghazi Al-Shammari confirmed the incident has taken place and said the committee was considering the case with a view to restoring peace between them.
