- JEDDAH: Bank lending in Saudi Arabia recovered by around 5.2 percent last year after a fall in 2009 and is expected to continue recovering through this year, according to the National Commercial Bank’s (NCB) weekly market review.
It said the increase could attributed to a more solid economic performance during 2010, with real GDP estimated at 3.8 percent, against 0.16 percent in the previous year which helped restore the confidence to the banking system to start expanding credit again.
