During the recent visit of US President Barack Obama to Mumbai, Bhujbal had presented him Jyotiba Phule's book “Slavery”, which received wider coverage in the US media. According to the US Embassy, the media coverage about Bhujbal generated enthusiasm among industrialists and Congress leaders in the US.

Last week, leader of American External Trade (Asia Pacific) Sub-Committee Rocking Mayber and Vice President of the US-India Trade Task Force FH Felomavega had taken information about Bhujbal from Indian industrialist Sanjay Suri.

According to sources in the Nationalist Congress Party of which Bhujbal is a key leader, Bhujbal may visit US between April and May this year. He would become the first Marathi political leader to address the US Senate members and offer guidance.
